Home owner and tax payer.--Good war record, World War 2, over 4 years service--Member of American Legion, Junior Chamber of Commerce, V.F.W., Disabled Veterans, Conservation League, Safety Organizations and others.--Monroe business man for many years. Member of Monroe Chamber of Commerce and Industrial Development Corporation during that period.--Experienced as a full time public servant.--Elected Sheriff of Green County in 1954. Re-elected Sheriff in 1956.--Have the necessary administrative background for the office of Mayor.--I am under obligation to no group or persons in any manner.--I have made no pledges or commitments.
