Wisconsin claims to be the only state which has more cows than people and also claims to produce more milk than any other two states. Dairy herds like these Holsteins at Monroe, WI, contribute half the state farm income from sale of dairy products, approximately 34 percent of the state's milk production goes into the manufacture of cheese.
